Hmm, this should be Café but dA won't let me :grump:

This is my trial run and first time painting with coffee :o It's for a challenge that I have on the go at the moment, all the details are here [link] , anyone who fancies giving it a go, please do, the more the merrier :)

I found this very odd to use and very nice too, the smell :love:

Materials -
A4 HP Watercolour Paper
Coffee
Black Ink
White Ink
Time - About 2 hours or so
Ref: Loosely based on the Les Misérable poster

Oh this is great! You really managed to get dark shades in here, those contrast nicely with the whites and lighter browns. :aww:

You did great at your first attempt with coffee, it seems you're skilled with every medium :aww: Well, how could I have any doubts about it? :giggle: I like the use of white ink here! :)

My mum HATES this one, she says it freaks her out and she can't even look at it :( I like the thunderstorm idea of yours much better :giggle:

Well perhaps there's the same feeling at the base of it.
To me, it feels somewhat restless and slightly aggressive in a held-back way. Add the white lines that look like lightning bolts to me, and there's my thunderstorm. Maybe your mum feels a couple of these things the same way.
