WIP 1 for the first 2012 Draw-Along - 3 Hours in and I have an eye ... what an achievement! :o

**I'll keep adding to this deviation as I upload WIPs as always.**

WIP 2 - Another couple of hours, those grapes are going to be evil!

WIP3 - Believe it or not, that small bit of eye and nose, took me another 4 hours :confused: So I guess my running total is about 9 hours so far. I'll add some warmth to her skin once I've done the grapes, they're going to be pretty overwhelming, so I'll judge it later. I'll just do one more WIP after this one now :D

WIP 4 - This is my last WIP now, an update for every grape is not exciting :giggle: I don't have a lot to say really except roll on the finish line!

I love this so much. If I could have a favourite-favourite on deviant art it would be this. I'm really curious about your references! Photos? Life?

I like your in your face approach to coloured pencil... not working up the whole thing at once and just rendering completely as you go.

Aw, thank you very much :aww: I use references from all over the place really, but for this one I used a photo from this very lovely girls gallery [link]

I do work a bit differently that most people, but I like to see little bits finished as I go or I get frustrated.

It' just unfair ! You should have a handicap like starting your drawing for draw-along on the 30th in january ! And even that way you would show us a marvelous piece of art ! The way you're drawing we'll soon be able to say which vineyard the grapes come from and the trademark for make up and hair spray!
I'd like a bite in one of these grapes ;-)
Can't wait to see it finished ! It's magic !

Too much credit? Not at all ! Maybe my comparisons are a bit emphasized, that's all. But your drawings make reference as you always add this small something of sensibility and originality in each one that make them different, very detailed but so well mastered. It's a lesson for many of us each time. Thanks for that, it helps improving :bow:
