WIP1 of 1 - Back to the drawing board

I started over again, I wasn't very happy with my first attempt. This one is going a bit better. I'm about 3-4 hours on this one so far, not including the sketch.
Also, just a little note, I've been asked a few times recently how I draw hair and I usually respond with I draw up and into the hair end and don't actually draw the ends. Usually no one understands what I'm waffling about, but you can see it really clearly here what I do on the left hand side at the bottom of the hair. Up and into the ends

I'm using a pink, purple and black biro on bristol board.
