Olivia - Biro Challengeby =pbird12

Traditional Art / Drawings / Portraits & Figures

For the

September Challenge - I'm giving this one away to whoever wins the poll at the end of the month.

Biro's are hard to draw with .... who came up with that idea?

I think I pretty much lost the likeness to Olivia but I do that sometimes if I forget to look at my reference and get carried away

Not ideal that.

Materials:
Bristol Board - 7"x8" or thereabouts
Black, Pink and Purple Biro
Pencil sketch to begin with
Time: About 7-8 hours

Oh and biro doesn't scan very well, I might do a photo instead.

The colors of those pens are seriously amazing, and you did great for someone not used to pen

I personally think it's the most freeing medium to draw, but I'm pretty sure pencil artists think the other way around

I think I'd find it free to sketch with actually, but I don't do that very often and trying to get the tiny details takes some skill and training i think, so more practice needed here for sure

Some lucky winner will be able to proudly hang this on their wall! Oh how jealous I've become. A drawing from my favorite dA artist

inspired by a photo of my favorite dA model shot by my favorite dA photographer. Sounds like a match made in heaven!

Had I been aware of this contest sooner the precious would be all mine!

Oh well, I'll one day finish my Olivia drawing.... it just won't be the same.

Hey, my internet router decided to take a dump on me twice in under a week. Sorry for my absence. Thankfully the internet provider hooked me up with another model to replace the old one that is now discontinued. Guess they were junk.

So from Wednesday night until now I didn't have internet.
