What about "You're welcome"? I think it's nice when artists thank people but sometimes I'm not sure if I should respond back. I mean they just thanked like a lot people.

yes i like to get a "thanks". i admit it can be rather irritating to get a bunch of messages in your inbox, and they're all comments from deviants saying "thanks". i reply to them all, because i know they deserved it - why else would i fav the work? :) so even though it's sometimes annoying to get so many messages, i at least know my feedback is appreciated. i used to say thanks to everyone who faved my work, or commented. but then i got a bit more popular and daily got a bunch of feedback, so i guess i no longer saw any point in trying to go and say thanks to more than 20 deviants or even more. i do it now if i have the time or when someone faved more than just one deviation. not because i only appreciate those who like most of my work, but because i think it would be very rude not to thank them after they've shown such great interest in my work :)

and a little remark on Greg235k's comment =P why would it bother someone to go and say thanks and then see that they've got a bunch of favorites? i favorite everything i like, indeed some work can't be compared to the others, but i'm not here to nitpick, i'm here to appreciate all kinds of art, because i do like varieties of it. i'm led by instincts when i fav, not by some imaginary number of fav limit =P just because a person's got a lot of favorites doesn't mean that yours is not special

Thank you for taking the time to reply, its great to get a range of perspectives on it.

I dont get an awful lots of messages a day (boo) so it's hard to say how I'd deal with them all if I had them. I do like to thank (the spam message after 40 is very annoying though) but can see how it can be really difficult. The other thing is I can log on a few times a day since I'm at home with the kiddies, for people at school/college/work, time is going to be a problem i'm sure.

I also dont count my faves either and just fave things that really catch my eye :) Like your lovely Lady Gaga :)

I wont send more messages to thank you for the fave LOL But THANK YOU

haha :D you're most welcome! and thanks for liking my gaga drawing ;) anyways, there's one more thing i wanted to ask you, what do you mean - the spam message after 40? :D what do you consider a spam, more than just one thanks from one deviant or what? =P

oh and yeah, thanks for the watch too xD

Hi, oh no, thats sounds terrible lol.
The spam message is a deviant Art thing, if you send more than 40 thank yous at a time, it stops you sending anymore because it thinks your spamming people :(

Your very welcome for the watch :)
